When it’s time to get off work, Xu Qin finally takes out her phone again. There’s no notification on her phone.
For this whole day, Song Yan doesn’t give her any call or even sends her a message.
She frowns lightly and she doesn’t show her feeling on her face. She just changes her clothes and goes home.
On the way back, she suddenly thinks whether Song Yan would have dinner with Li Meng.
She wouldn’t be unhappy for that, as they are colleagues too. But—— the time she looks at her phone—— how could he not send her any message.
Xu Qin usually has no recreational activities. The time she arrives home, she only turns on her TV or reads a book a while with disinterest feeling. But she keeps on glancing at her phone.
The phone keeps on being silent.
Till at night 09:00 p.m, Song Yan acts like he is not her boyfriend, he seems to be disappeared.

She opens up the comments of the only photo he posted about the fire safety information.
Xu Qin feels strange.
She browses around and notices Zhan Xiao Rao’s comment.
“You should be very exhausted ~”
Xu Qin: “……..”
The comment was made a month ago, Song Yan didn’t reply to it.
She almost forgets that she was the one that told Zhan Xiao Rao about Song Yan’s phone number. Zhan Xiao Rao should try hard to communicate with him.
She opens up Zhan Xiao Rao’s Moments, there’re photos from last month and recently. She frequently shares her life. This month, her post is full of selfies.
Xu Qin couldn’t help but to admit that she indeed is an especially cute and energetic young woman.
Xu Qin is surprised to find that she posted Song Yan’s photo. It was taken at Si Xi Di’s SOHO plaza. Song Yan was bending his waist to roll up the water pipe.
It’s a day Song Yan helped her.
There are two photos of Song Yan. He looks so handsome and cold.
Zhan Xiao Rao wrote: My! SAVIOR! ahhhh!!!’
Then there’s a comment by her: “He is too manly!!! I want to sleep with him! I want to!”
Xu Qin pursues her lips and throws her phone away to the sofa. She stands up and goes to the kitchen counter. She pours out a glass of hot water from the kettle. The time she just drinks it, she realizes that the water is cold. It’s not yet boiled. She goes to throw it up, but she suddenly realizes that the it’s a mineral water, she could drink it directly.

She holds the glass and feels speechless. She takes tissue to wipe her mouth.
She returns to the living room and picks up the book again to read it. At last she also takes her phone and retrieve Song Yan’s contact number.
She has countless question, she wants to ask. She has countless words that she wants to express. At last she just types:
“What are you doing?”
She is thinking that he is outside with his friends or he is at home with his Jiu Jiu.
Then she gets a reply:
“Do you miss me?”
His words get into Xu Qin’s softest heart. It’s weird. Her eyes turn red and hot. Her ears are hot too. Her upset feeling seems to be gone, now her heart is beating so fast.
At first she wanted to reply: “Em.”
But the time she has sent it, she just remembers, she should reply: “I don’t” to anger him.
But he replies quickly: “I would come and find you. I would arrive in 10 minutes.”
In a flash, she is happy.
She holds her phone and smiles unconsciously: “Okay ah.”
She puts down her phone and immediately goes to wash her face. She combs her hair and takes out a lipstick to use.
Then she tidies up. Then she remembers that she hasn’t thrown away her garbage. She picks up her garbage bag and goes downstair. The time she is out of the building, she looks around. She could see Song Yan quickly.

Song Yan approaches her and says: “You miss me?”
“No. I just want to see you for a while. If not, I would forget how do you look like.” Xu Qin says.
Song Yan nods: “Right, you don’t have a good memory.” He looks at her quietly, he just lets her view and admire him.
Her heart turns calmer.
They look at each other.
After a while, he smiles: “Am I handsome?
She doesn’t willing to admit, she raises her eyebrows: “Quite good.”
He asks again: “Are you done looking at me?”
She shifts her gaze, she looks at the streetlamp: “Done.”
“If you are done, then I’ll go.” He turns his body to leave.
Xu Qin is startled, she immediately approaches him to hold him: “I want——“
Song Yan turns his body and he quickly holds her back head. He lowers his head and kisses her lips. He licks it. Xu Qin is surprised by this, she even doesn’t close her eyes. She just stands on tip toe. He lets her go and leaves her with a beating heart.
Song Yan laughs and strokes her head. He then hugs her and strokes her hair. He laughs like he feels happy to tease her.

“Okay.” He admits easily. “Whenever I see you, I just want to kiss you. When I don’t see you, I also want to kiss.”
Xu Qin just laughs. She stays quietly on his embrace and pants a bit. She hugs his waist and she notices that he is holding something. She asks: “What are you holding?”
He remembers about a serious matter: “Where is your car?”

In underground parking lot.
Xu Qin presses the open button to let her car opens up. Song Yan takes out a safety hammer and passes it to Xu Qin. He tells her: “If you face a sudden condition, or your locked in the car, use this to break the glass.” He shows it to her how to do it; “Remember, smash on the side, not on the center. The center is not easily smashed.”
Xu Qin nods, she holds the hammer and try it.
He turns her hand to a correct position: “The point of the hammer should be perpendicular to the glass, around 90 degree. The strength would be great. Concentrate on a corner. Don’t pound it disorderly because you are panic….. Do you got it?”
She nods: “Okay.”
“What do you remember?”
“Smash the corner, you need to be perpendicular.”
“Good.” He strokes her head.

He helps her to try, then asks: “Do you feel it?”

“I recall what happen last time during the rainstorm, you saved me. It’s too coincidental. You also don’t expect that I’m the one inside the car right?” Xu Qin says: “I also don’t that that he would be you…… You are so dedicated to your duty, no wonder you are the captain.”
Song Yan laughs and doesn’t answer
He puts the back the hammer inside the plastic bag again. Then he takes out a small-size fire extinguisher and puts it on the ground . He still has a fire extinguisher inside plastic. She places the plastic on the bottom seat of the front passenger.
“I would put it here.”
“Why do you still have one more?”

“Now could I unscrew it?”
“I bring one more for you to try.”
Xu Qin is excited, she unscrews it and does everything. She glances at Song Yan.
Song Yan laughs.
Xu Qin just tries it.

“Amusing.” He repeats her words, “But I prefer that you wouldn’t use it forever.”
He closes the door and he notices ashes on his sleeve. She helps her to pat it and notices a faint blue powder: “What is it?”
Song Yan pats his sleeve too: “Supposedly I scrapped somewhere.”
Xu Qin doesn’t care, she asks: “Where should I put this?”
“Take it home.”
“Ao.” Xu Qin holds the small size fire extinguisher like she is holding a jar of gold.
“Don’t play around. Do you hear me?”
“I know ——“ She just says with a low voice.
When they go to the corner of the parking area, Xu Qin notices the fire hydrant on the wall. She remembers Zhan Xiao Rao’s Moments. She asks him: “You are in contact with Xiao Rao?”
Song Yan: “No. Why…. do you suddenly ask this?”
Xu Qin holds the fire extinguisher and says: “Oh, I saw her comment on your Moments.”
Song Yan laughs lightly: “Are you jealous?”
“No.” He immediately denies.
“It’s good that you are not.”
There’s nothing else.
Xu Qin thought that he would give her a little comfort or coo her. But he just laughs so she couldn’t say anything else.
She also remembers about Li Meng.
She remembers that this whole day he had disappeared.

Song Yan asks: “Are you tired today? What time did you get off work?”
His tone is calm and indifferent. Xu QIn doesn’t know what should she answer whether it should be 06:00 p.m or 09:00 p.m. She feels complicated. She suddenly asks: “Today did you miss me?”
He stops when he hears her question, yet she keeps on walking. He extends his hand to pull her. He pulls her till she is facing him. He looks at her face and asks: “What happened?”
She is a bit surprised but she just says: “Nothing. Oh, it’s just today you didn’t contact me. I thought you were so busy.”
“I wasn’t as busy as you. I told you to message me when you are done right?” Song Yan looks at her eyes and asks.
Xu Qin is rendered speechless. She feels a stupid who is slapping her own face. But…. not right. He said it, but…….. she didn’t oppose him before.
She suffers from her own action.
She looks at him and asks suddenly: “Song Yan, you did it in purpose right?”
Song Yan: “What?”
“You purposely hung me.”
“I just didn’t want to disturb your work.” Song Yan says calmly, he explains to her: “The time you sent me a message, I immediately came here right?”
Xu Qin feels once more she couldn’t oppose his words. Indeed he came directly after she sent him message. His reply made her worried feeling gone. But…. why does she feel pent up?”
Yet she smiles like she doesn’t really care: “Oh, right I forget about it.”
She acts like nothing happens, she opens up the elevator. She looks at Song Yan, she says: “I almost forget about it. Today I need to research about several cases, so I would be very busy.” This time she is looking at his eyes.

He says with a low voice:
“Okay, I am not teasing you anymore.”
She buries her face on his chest and immediately kicks him.
He just sighs: “These years you have been so alarmed and panicky. You just close yourself. It’s good that in the past you are stern at home but pliant in public.”
She kicks him: “Shut up.”
Song Yan laughs and asks: “Tonight you really want to study?”
She says nothing.
“Even if you would, then I would stay here too.” He says, he places the fire extinguisher on the drawer. Then he just presses her body on the wall and kisses her lips.

Actually, he is selfish too.
A person usually bear in mind constantly for things that he/she doesn’t get and and something that he/she has lost.
The time he/she gets it, they would want more. They would not willing to lose it.
So he just wants to try her out.
But he couldn’t bear how she turns dispirited yet she still wants to pretend. He couldn’t be hardhearted and sees her that way. He feels like something is stabbing his heart. He is sad.
