Today is the day, finally the drama of memoirs of love, it’s on. I’m so curious whether it will be same plot as a novel, because I thought the novel somewhat slow. I hope the drama will be more speedy in covering Xin Chen and Lu Fei’s past.

 

 

If Only She Never Possessed It

Xin Chen raised her head, her balcony was full of overflowing with green color and full of colorful flower, it was splendid and completely different compared to her neighbors closed and sealed porch or a porch that full of pile of bits and bobs.

She had stayed in the house for a few days for hurriedly finished her jobs, after she finished, she needs to firstly hand over and report back the finished task to the advertisement company. But now everywhere around the area gathered in twos and threes group of neighbors, they are pointed out and discussed spiritedly about the new announcement sticked up on the wall about notice of demolishment and relocation.

This neighborhood was in the city center golden district, it has old-fashion architecture, the past few years back was included on a list of red line program, transmitted the rumor of demolishment, and also in turn there were also some personnels brought preparation instrument to survey and map the area, but it remained to be unsettle for quite long time. Not few people had the same perception, but the well-informed one already started to hear slightly mysterious announcement news: “It was reportedly a big company from Shen Zhen has seized this part of the area, prepared to build a shopping mall and office building, this time it is true.” The following step naturally will be they mutually asked about the compensation, relocation place, something like that.

Xin Chen didn’t have any interest at all regarding this matter, that day when she said that she didn’t remember how long she had been living there. Xin Kai Yu knew that his older brother didn’t believe in him, he nodded his head to show his agreement, together they went to do the administration thing.

 

The 12 years old Xin Chen that time had turned to the property owner, although it was only old two bedroom apartment. That time she didn’t have any what is it mean, but later on she understood her big uncle’s effort, and couldn’t help but to be thankful to him.

Every time, Xin Di expressed her liking toward her father, Xin Kai Yu, Xin Chen felt contradictory. Of course, she loves her daddy, who is always happy, never pressured her. From her early age, her father never once be angry with her, he really spoiled her, how can she not love him?

However Xin Kai Yu was also a man who wanted his life to be happy and relaxing. He will arrange his daughter to eat at the nearest small restaurant, wait until the end of month he will come there to pay because he couldn’t cook and had no time to do it; He went home really late, completely different from other heads of family, he never gave guidance in study like other father, checked the homework. Even if he was not in business trip, sometimes he would not go home, only gave her a call to tell her to lock the door before she sleeps; at the midnight sometimes he will hurriedly answered a call from a woman and then went out.
He sometimes brought women home, all the time was beautiful aunties came and help to tidy and started to prepare breakfast, it was a virtuous woman. But Xin Chen didn’t felt the room was completely neat and tidy. On table was pipping hot dishes could be regarded as normal expression of a family. From her childhood, there was a lot of women took a good care of her, knitted sweater for her, knitted wool hat, cooked delicious food, however after they broke up with her father, they all disappeared.

Of course, she didn’t like the newbie auntie, after she done eating she will rudely said: “Why you haven’t go home?”

The beautiful auntie suddenly felt awkward, Xin Kai Yu looked indifferent, only laughed and asked her daughter to hurriedly go back to the room and do homework. But Xin Chen was not easily dismissed, in front of them she called her big uncle, Xin Kai Ming. This child at some aspect had clear understanding, she knew that her big auntie didn’t really like her, but her big uncle was fond of her as many as he loved Xin Di.

Xin Kai Yu always connived at Xin Chen’s little temper, listened to her chat with her big uncle, she act coquettishly said that her daddy brought home a stranger auntie again, this night autie doesn’t willing to go home, it hindered her from doing her homework. Xin Kai Yu didn’t look angry at all, he only laughed bitterly, stroked his little daughter, “Good darling, don’t make trouble, I will send auntie hoe okay.”

In reality, Xin Chen felt her life basically there was no any regrettable imperfection.

If she didn’t meet Lu Fei, she will basically believed it.

That was because when you never tried and possessed, Xin Chen bitterly told herself, if only never possessed, including mother, including love, she could pretend that she didn’t need these.

But in her 14 year old time, these things was like tide soared and came, simply didn’t ask her whether she needed it, then whistled go away, leaving her as before to live in this old residence to continue her life. As if the tide recede leaving the sand calm. The still situation, only left her alone to looked around disappointedly.

“Do you feel distressed about your flowers, Xin Chen?” An old man with hoarse brought her back from her thought.

The old man was her opposite neighbor, Mr Lu, he was fifty years old man with a optimistic and kind personality. He had been living here for a long time, he was the one who also saw Xin Chen grow up.

Xin Chen laughed, “Most of my plants are herbs, they can only live in the autumn, no need to be feel distressed. The other I can give to other people. Uncle Lu, how about your pigeons?”

These years Mr Lu’s hobby was feeding the pigeon every day, a lot of neighbors couldn’t put up with his hobby and complained. But he didn’t become discouraged and moved back to the village.

In the past Xin Chen was also loathe the sound of pigeons in the morning as it disturbed her sleeping, but later on, she slowly accepted the existence of that sound. Besides work, she usually sat down at her balcony and looked at how Mr Lu trained the pigeons. It relaxed and calmed her heart.

Mr Lu laughed, “ I happened to moved to suburb area, the air is fresh, and it is a wide area. I can raise a lot of pigeons for racing. Demolished is good too, I already expect this day to come.”

Xin Chen laughed and nodded her head, picked up her things and went up. She turned on the air conditioning, it immediately made the air cool and refreshing. She laid down on her sofa, suddenly she didn’t have any desire to work again.

“I also should leave here.”

This was not her first time to have this idea, but that day when she was encounter Lu Fei, it was a first time for her to say it out loud.

Then where she go then?

After Xin Di graduated, it was one time she really wanted to coastal area dress industry to work, she ran there to be an intern. All the people thought Xin Chen who loved to travel since high school, will work outside the city. That year of her graduation, even she already told that she will go to capital city to tried the work opportunity there, Xin Kai Ming also didn’t stop her. However against everyone’s expectation, she went out for a half-month, and quietly went back.

Li Xin twitched her mouth, concluded that she couldn’t find any job so can only dejected fo home, Xin Kai Ming said: “How can you be this thin, it’s okay, it’s okay, I will find a solution for away.”

She was called to her uncle’s house for dinner, she didn’t explain and say anything, she only showed her faint smile in her face.

From her dinner at big uncle’s house, she opened her door, and looked at the bleak and cold home, suddenly for the first time she asked herself: “I already lived here for a long time, how long I will I need to live in this house?”

Only Xin Chen herself knew, her all doing, it only made herself to be free from worry. This home had a lot of memory, if she didn’t do any throughly renovation or changes, she will not be able to live here.

For hurrying finished her job, Xin Chen continuously held out for several nights. She then laid down on the sofa, and slept. She dreamt a chaotic dream. Her phone rang, she instinctively answered it. It was a client who wanted to alter some details, she agreed without thinking and asked him to sent it through her email. The client thought she was attentive, but only she knew, that she was half-dreaming, didn’t really listen to him.

After it was done, she threw the phone to the other side, and continued her sleep until a door bell once again woke her up. The distance voice of bell became clearer and clear, it rang continuously, she completely unable to move, she felt difficult to breath, and her whole body became weak and limp. She was losing ability to control her body.

This was not the first time Xin Chen encountered this kind of situation, she tried to look for the solution and consulted to the specialized doctor, so this time she was not scared, only tried her best to regain her consciousness, waiting until her breath became calmer. Then firstly slowly moved her hand, slowly regaining her movement, then gradually raised up. She walked toward the door, and see through the peephole, it was Lu Fei who was standing up in front of the door.

His face looked dignified, his hand repeatedly pressed the bell.

She opened the door: “What’s your problem?

“Why it took you so long to open the door, you also didn’t answer your phone?”

“I was sleeping so I don’t hear it.” She answered it simply, she moved her body to let him inside. She let him sit down on the revolving chair while she sat on her sofa. She conveniently looked at her phone, it was full of several missed call. She erased the unknown number, then…. dialed to the familiar number, “It’s complete already, right, tomorrow I will bring to your office, em, okay, okay, bye.”

“I already said, it was impossible to transform him to Zhang Zi Yi. There only common thing was gender. If you wanted to photoshopped it to celebrity face, then you don’t need me, you can do it by yourself.” She stopped for a while, and laughed, “Okay, just like that, you explain it to her.”

A moment after Xin Chen put down her phone, Lu Fei took out his phone and dialed. Her phone was rang, it was the strange number before. He looked at her, “Save my number, so you will not see it as strange number that you erase it.”

Xin Chen hesitated for awhile, and followed his direction, next raise her head and laughed: “Is there anything else? I still have work to do.”
“These days did you sleep late?”

“No, I mostly sleep before 12 o’clock.” Her voice was calm, Lu Fei looked at her up and down, “Before did you have a bad dream?”

Xin Chen’s smile became rigid, she knows, it was in vain to pretend she was okay. How can she forget, since her 14 years, it was the first time she experienced nightmare. Afterwards, it repeatedly happened and known as “Sleep paralysis”. This man in the past had seen with his own eyes her sleep paralysis. She was struggled with fear, and he was the one who hugged her tightly and lightly patted her back to comfort her, then he took her to hospital to define the cause of this condition.

Of course, there was scientific explanation, in fact is not really terrible, it just a kind of sleep syndrome, suddenly a light sleeper time, the large part of brain nerve center already awaken, but the nerve in the muscle hasn’t completely wake up. So although there was some uncomfortable feeling, yet she couldn’t move. It could be counted as a normal physiology reaction, and unrelated to evil forces. There was no influence toward health.

She started to exercise, kept a good hour to rest, then it was happened less, if she happened to relapse, it was not really big effect, she still abled to calm it down. But today, facing his calm and dark eyes, she felt the first time she awake, she lost ability to move, as if once again sank to former days nightmare.
